Police Chiefs, Local Police Officers Associations Endorse Kathryn Barger

LOS ANGELES, CA – Today, Supervisor Kathryn Barger’s reelection campaign received a strong show of support from the law enforcement community. Four core associations in her district — the Los Angeles County Police Chiefs’ Association (LACPCA), Pasadena Police Officers Association, Burbank Police Officers Association, and Glendale Police Officers Association — officially voiced their endorsement of Barger for Fifth District Supervisor.


Their vote of confidence and support of Supervisor Barger reflected a deep appreciation of her commitment to public safety and community well-being.

These reputable law enforcement organizations recognize Supervisor Barger's unwavering dedication to enhancing the safety and security of Los Angeles County residents. Her extensive experience and collaborative approach have earned her the respect and trust of the law enforcement community. Barger has been a consistent advocate for increased resources for law enforcement agencies and community-oriented policing strategies.

LACPCA represents top law enforcement leaders throughout the county. The endorsements from the Burbank, Pasadena, and Glendale Police Officers Associations represent the three largest independent city police departments in the Fifth District.


These endorsements add to the broad public safety support Supervisor Barger has already garnered, including the Association for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs (ALADS), Los Angeles County Professional Peace Officers Association (PPOA), Los Angeles Police Protective League (LAPPL), Association of Deputy District Attorneys (ADDAs), and the National Latino Peace Officers Association.


Supervisor Barger also has the support of a broad base of business and community groups, including Planned Parenthood Advocacy Project Los Angeles County Action Fund and Los Angeles County Business Federation (BizFed). She also has the endorsement of organized labor, including SEIU 721, Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriffs and Firefighters, LA/OC Building Trades Council, LiUNA! Local 300, Teamsters 42, AFSCME 36, and many more.


Over 40 Fifth District Mayors and Councilmembers have endorsed Supervisor Barger’s campaign.
